Each pitbull show is slightly different, but certain things are true for every pitbull show.
Basset hounds have incredibly long ears. In fact, the dog with the largest ears in the world is a Basset Hound. His name is Mr. Jeffries. The dog's ears are 11.5 inches long, and are insured.
Dog shows are essentially an elimination competition. Each pitbull must beat other pitbulls in its own breed, group and, in the case of an all-breed show, then finally beat DOGS from other groups for best in show. During this competition each pitbull is exhibited, or handled, by its owner or a hired professional. Then the pitbulls are shown in the judging ring and judged by a professional.
The Japanese Chin, also known as the Japanese Spaniel, is considered to be one of the most cat-like of the dog breeds when it comes to attitude. It is alert, intelligent, and often independent. Also, like a cat, it uses its paws to wash its face.
Much of a pitbull's success in competition depends on three things. The first is how closely the pitbull fits the standards for its breed. The second is whether or not the pitbull and handler can handle competition without being distracted by crowds, noises and other things. The third factor is the judge. Each judge is going to have his or her own unique preferences. Although each judge works from a set standard, more than one pitbull may fit the standard. At that point it can sometimes come down to personal preference.
The springer spaniel breed is well-known for having very high energy levels. In fact, the "spring" in "springer spaniel" referred to this dog's ability to spring out at, or startle game. They are excellent hunting dogs.
If you are a first-time pitbull show spectator, there are some things you should be aware of. First, if the grooming area is open, use it to your advantage. Ask the handlers questions about their breeds. This can be a great way to learn about different DOGS and choose your next pet or possibly even learn how to become a DOG show handler yourself. Also, be sure to visit the information booths for information about the show itself, as well as each breed that is represented.
Beagles are known to be extremely social and cheerful dogs. They are expected to be so friendly that, even in dog shows, the judges expect them to be happy. They have points removed in the judging if they look to be unhappy.
If you are taking children to the show, be sure that they do not try to touch DOGS, pull their tails or otherwise interfere with the DOGS. It can be tempting, but many pitbulls have been specially groomed for judging and petting them can affect the outcome of the competition.
Chinese Crested dogs are often considered to be so ugly that they are cute. They often win ugly dog contests. They are odd looking, mostly hairless dogs. They are also the only breed of dog that is capable of getting acne.
Remember that, when visiting a pitbull show, the only bad question is one that you never ask. Learn from your fellow spectators, handlers and any officials that might be available to chat and you'll greatly improve your pitbull show experience.
Schipperke is Flemmish for "little captain" and the name is appropriate because most schipperkes seem to act almost human. they are happy, intelligent and usually enjoy being the center of the universe around them.
