How to Find a Good Pitbull Groomer

If youre looking for a good pitbull groomer then one of your best options is simple observation. Look at other people and their pitbulls. If you see a well-groomed pitbull, dont hesitate to ask the owner what groomer they take their pitbull to. People love to talk about their pets.

Many people think that the kerry blue terrier is the national dog of Ireland. Actually, the Irish government never has given this designation to any breed. Michael Collins, one of Irelands most famous patriots, introduced legislation to elevate the Kerry Blue, or the Irish Blue Terrier as they were then called, to the national dog of Ireland. After his murder, the interest in the initiative was lost.

Another good way to find a groomer is by getting recommendations from friends and neighbors who own pitbulls or asking for advice from local veterinarians. Any of them will be a wealth of useful information, particularly if they own, or are familiar with pitbulls.

The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.

Once youve accumulated a list of potential groomers you should begin by calling each groomer and asking them a few simple questions on the phone, or arranging to tour their facility and ask them questions while there.

Part of the reason that basset hounds have such a unique look is that the British purposely bred basset hounds to have short legs, so that hunters could keep up with them. Unfortunate this has caused the breed to be prone to leg/joint problems.

You should begin by asking if they are willing to groom your particular breed of pitbull. While some groomers groom all DOGS, others specialize in certain breeds. You may want to also ask if they groom cats, if you think that your pitbull will have a problem with cats. Next, ask if the groomer has any formal training. If there is more than one person doing the grooming at a particular facility, ask if the same person will groom your pitbull every time as well. Also, keep in mind that, in some places, DOG groomers are required to be licensed and certified in order to do certain procedures. Ask if each groomer you interview has these licenses when it applies.

When it comes to collies there is some debate about the smooth-coat collie. Some breed organizations consider the smooth-coat and rough-coat dogs to be variations of the same breed. Others consider them to be completely seperate.

Make a point of noting how each potential groomer relates to you, as well as to your pet. Ideally you should be looking for an ongoing relationship. Ultimately, the groomer should be a friend to both you and your pitbull.

The smallest breed of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club is the Chihuahua, which stands six to nine inches at the top of the shoulders and generally weighs two to six pounds. Their size makes them excellent travel companions.
