If your pitbull must wear a costume, use the following tips in its Halloween attire:

The smallest breed of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club is the Chihuahua, which stands six to nine inches at the top of the shoulders and generally weighs two to six pounds. Their size makes them excellent travel companions.

The bichon frise breed is quite old. Originally they used to belong only to kings and queens. However, eventually they became known for their abilty to learn tricks and for their excellent sense of balance. As a result, they gained a reputation for being excellent as circus dogs.

Always monitor your pitbull for bitten pieces of the costume that may trigger choking (in example: buttons, elastic, paper rubber bands, or other materials) Affix reflective tape onto pitbull's costume if you will be out after dark Never leave your pitbull unsupervised in a costume.

While most dogs shed, poodles are actually incapable of shedding. That fact makes them excellent house pets, since they don't get the furniture covered in fur. Also, due to the nature of their fur and the fact that they do not shed, most people with dog allergies aren't allergic to poodles.

As cute as the idea of taking your pitbull to trick or treat with the family may be, the event can trigger anxiety or fear. To avoid any potential negative encounters, keep a leash on him and be mindful of anything they try to eat during the Halloween stroll. The most socially oriented pitbulls may not be ready for the entourage of children during trick-or-treating hours. To prevent any unforeseen situations, keep your pitbull in a separate room. For starters, the rampant traffic of strangers may overwhelm a pitbull. Not to mention, some children are afraid of DOGS and other pets. Finally, if your pitbull breaks free, make sure he or she is wearing a collar with an ID tag or other proper identification.
